These Terms & Policies apply to your orders and interactions with Red Moon Bakery through our website and online ordering pages. Our ordering experience is powered by a third-party service provider (SpeedyFeast), which processes information on our instructions.
Part A - Red Moon Bakery Privacy Policy (Canada)
Who we are. Red Moon Bakery (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates in Canada. We are responsible for personal information we collect about guests and visitors. Our service provider helps host and operate the ordering site and processes information for us.
Privacy laws. We handle personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and other applicable Canadian privacy laws. We also follow CASL for commercial electronic messages.
1) What we collect
- Contact & identity: name, email, phone, address/buzzer/unit.
- Orders: items, options, notes/allergens you provide, substitutions, receipts.
- Account & preferences: saved addresses, communication choices.
- Payment metadata: transaction status, method type, last 4 digits (from our processor). We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical/usage: IP address, device/browser, pages viewed, actions (add-to-cart/checkout), error logs.
- Location: precise location if you enable device permissions; general location may be inferred from IP.
- Feedback & support: reviews, survey responses, emails/chats with us.
- Hiring (if applicable): resume/CV details you submit.
We may also receive limited information from our service providers (e.g., payment, analytics, delivery tools) strictly to operate the ordering experience.
2) How we use information
- Provide services: take, confirm, prepare, and stage/deliver orders; issue receipts; manage loyalty (if offered).
- Communicate: order updates, support responses, service and security notices.
- Improve & secure: diagnostics, analytics, fraud/abuse prevention, quality assurance.
- Marketing (with consent): send offers or updates; you can unsubscribe anytime.
- Legal/compliance: tax and accounting records; respond to lawful requests.
- With consent: any additional purpose we disclose at collection.
3) Cookies & analytics
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for core features (e.g., keeping your cart), analytics, and (if enabled) marketing measurement. You can manage cookies in your browser and, where available, via our cookie banner. Blocking some cookies may affect functionality. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
4) When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share:
- Service providers: hosting/ordering, payments, messaging, analytics/fraud, delivery integrations - bound by contract to protect it and use it only for us.
- Delivery personnel (if applicable): limited details needed to deliver your order.

- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets under confidentiality safeguards.
We may use or share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.
5) Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) under their privacy terms. We receive limited confirmation/metadata to fulfill orders and prevent fraud. We do not store full payment card numbers.
6) Cross-border processing
Personal information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our providers operate. While outside your province/territory or Canada, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under local laws. We use contractual and organizational safeguards to protect it regardless of location. (For Québec collections, we will identify countries of storage/processing on request and conduct required transfer assessments.)
7) Your rights & choices (Canada)
Subject to law and limited exceptions, you may access and correct your personal information and withdraw consent for marketing or other consent-based processing. 8) Security & retention
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system is 100% secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements, then securely delete or de-identify it.
9) Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us to remove it. If you are under the age of majority, use our services only with a parent/guardian.
10) Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on our site or at checkout.
Part B - Order Terms
1) Menu, pricing & taxes
- Prices are in CAD. Applicable sales taxes and any service/delivery fees appear at checkout.
- Menu items, prices, specials, and availability may change without notice.
- Photos are for reference; actual items may vary.
2) Allergies & dietary information
We take care in preparation, but our kitchen may handle common allergens (gluten, dairy, nuts, soy, eggs, shellfish, etc.), and cross-contact may occur. If you have a severe allergy, please call (905) 451-7788 before ordering. Notes added at checkout are best-efforts and not a guarantee.
3) Order review & confirmation
Review your cart carefully before paying. After checkout, you'll see a confirmation screen or message. If you don't receive confirmation, contact (905) 451-7788.
4) Cancellations
- Before payment: you may abandon your cart at any time.
- After acceptance: once we accept an order, we begin preparing - cancellations are not available.
5) Refunds & remedies
Please inspect your order at pickup or upon delivery. If items are missing, incorrect, or unsatisfactory, contact (905) 451-7788 or redmoonbakeryfdk@gmail.com within 30 minutes of receipt with your order number and details.
Approved remedies may include a remake, replacement, credit, or refund to the original payment method, at our manager's discretion. For courier-related issues (if any), we'll assist in good faith.
6) Alcohol (if offered)
- Alcohol sales follow applicable provincial/territorial liquor laws (e.g., legal drinking age, ID requirements).
- We may refuse/cancel alcohol portions if legal requirements are not met (e.g., no valid ID, intoxication).
- Alcohol may require a food purchase depending on local rules.
7) Gift cards & loyalty (if offered)
- Gift cards are for Red Moon Bakery only; unless permitted by law, no expiry and no cash redemption (except where required).
- Loyalty terms (earn/burn rules, expiry) appear at enrollment; programs may change with notice.
8) Chargebacks & fraud
We may verify, decline, hold, or cancel orders suspected of fraud or misuse and may challenge chargebacks where we have evidence of fulfillment.
Part C - Delivery Policy
Service types: Pickup and, where offered, delivery.
A) Delivery area
Delivery eligibility depends on your address; availability is shown at checkout.
B) Delivery time
We provide an estimated time at checkout. Estimates may vary due to order volume, kitchen capacity, traffic, or weather. We strive to meet estimates but cannot guarantee them.
C) Fees & tips
Any delivery or service fees are shown at checkout. Tips are optional but appreciated (and handled per applicable law and our policies).
D) Instructions & access
Use “Delivery notes” for buzzer codes, directions, or contactless preferences. For secure buildings, you may need to meet at the lobby/security desk.
E) Failed deliveries
A delivery may be marked undeliverable if: no safe access; recipient unavailable; address incorrect; phone unreachable; or (for alcohol) ID/age/intoxication requirements not satisfied. Food may be returned or discarded; charges may still apply.
F) Risk of loss & food safety
Risk of loss passes on pickup or on delivery when items are handed to you or left per your instructions. Please refrigerate or consume promptly and follow safe-handling practices. We are not responsible for issues arising from delays after delivery or improper storage.
G) Pickup
Arrive during your selected time window and provide your order number and name. For curbside (if offered), follow posted instructions or call (905) 451-7788.

- Governing law. These Terms & Policies are governed by the laws of your province or territory and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
- Changes. We may update these Terms & Policies at any time; changes apply to orders placed after the effective date unless stated otherwise.
- Severability. If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
