Our Story

From Faridkot to Brampton

Our story begins in 1955 when our grandfather opened a small tea stall called 'Lal Chand di Hatti' in Faridkot, India. By 1985 it had grown into Chhabra Sweets, a beloved local institution. After his passing in 1991, our family carried forward his legacy with the same dedication and craft.

Historic family bakery inspiration

A New Chapter

Growing up in the family business inspired a lifelong passion for food. After studying food technology and training as a chef at Hyatt Delhi, our founder immigrated to Canada in 2018. Red Moon Bakery opened in Brampton to continue the Chhabra Sweets tradition. The name itself translates from 'Lal Chand,' honouring the grandfather who started it all.
